What Is This Service?

We provide bedside notary services at hospitals across North Carolina. Our notaries are experienced with patient signers, witnesses, and the documentation often needed for urgent estate and healthcare decisions.

Who Needs This?

  • Patients unable to travel
  • Families handling urgent POA or advance directives
  • Care teams coordinating discharge or transfer paperwork

How the Process Works

  1. 1

Call us with the hospital, room, and signer details.

  2. 2

We dispatch the nearest available notary.

  3. 3

We confirm the signer’s awareness and ID at bedside.

  4. 4

Documents are notarized on site, often same-day.

Required Identification

  • Unexpired photo ID for the patient signer
  • Witnesses when required by the document
All signers must personally appear with valid, unexpired photo ID. IDs must be original — not photocopies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you come to the ICU or a nursing facility?
Yes. We coordinate with nursing staff and follow facility visitor policies. Please confirm visit access when booking.
What if the patient cannot sign?
The signer must be able to knowingly sign or make a mark. We cannot notarize for someone who is unable to demonstrate awareness.
